Its a little dreary outside and I think its making me feel sluggish. I have so much I would like to get done, I have that anticipated feeling of being behind. I really hope I can get something done today its only 9:20am but it feels like 5pm already. I think coffee is in order.

Silk dribbling on rooftop
Whenever I get together with my friends, here in Kairouan, it's always
the same subject that comes up. There is absolutely nothing fun to do
here in this city, no parks, attractions, beautiful spaces. I told one of my friends the
fun I had, the other day, just hanging up my cloths on my rooftop to
dry. I took it a little further and did some painting on this silk
scarf. I find I am most happiest when I am doing and sharing what I
know. It's a slower process then what I would like it to be but one step
at a time.

It's a little hard to see the motif at this angle, some turquoise and orange are showing up |

Something About Me in Time for Spring
I love getting lost in time making something special, sometimes its
painting on silk or at the sewing machine just plugging away with my
little by my side.
I started sewing with my mom when I was about 8 years old. I would sit next to her side by side sewing together. We would sew uniforms for Bands and Drum Corps, Colorguards and Dance. My dresses for prom and friends dresses for weddings. We took a quilting class together when I was 12, it was the one of the best experiences I had with my mom (I highly recommend doing, BTW) Sewing has always brought me closer to the people I love and the has opened doors in ways one would not think possible. Painting is a creative outlet, putting the magic of color on silk can never get boring. I have spent several years just trying new things with silk. I started doing scarves and then silk flags for bands and colorguards. Now I am working with sewing my silks into bolero vests & dresses, I will through some blouses in the mix when I find just the right pattern. So many ideas, there isn't enough time for them all. I have decided to focus on what I like and would love to wear, this help to narrow down the collection.
January, I was focused on using up some of my silk stash and getting small projects done and out of the way. February is building for spring, it will be here before we know it. I have some pretty bolero just waiting to be fixed and sewn along with several dresses. Looking forward to March when my shop will start to look like I have been working. Believe me, I have been working, Patently waiting to show my new collection.

How much do I need to pay for theses?
My daughter painted theses beauties with acrylic. I must say I am one proud Momma! The only problem is she wants to sell them but how can I allow this? They are just to awesome to sell, how much do I need to pay? She did give me a price and I think I have failed as a parent to teach my daughter humility. On the other hand she is not short changing herself and time. Parenting is a damned if you do damned if you don't kind of beast and we are always at odds.
I have thought about playing the I birthed you card and calling it even... escape the whole moral odds and go strait for guilt. Will begging work? Please, I want to keep them, please o please. Chocolate bar ohhh now there's an idea, I think she may go for that.
Any suggestions, how much should I pay?
